Digital Pursuit were in attendance of July's instalment of the PHP London meetup.
The presentation was a look at PHP 5.4 and 5.5 features. Significant performance improvements, Traits, short array syntax, function array dereferencing, generators, finally statement, opcache and lots of other new and cool things available in PHP 5.4 and in the upcoming PHP 5.5 release.
Rasmus Lerdorf is known for having got the PHP project off the ground in 1995 and has contributed to a number of other open source projects over the years. He was an infrastructure architect at Yahoo! for more than 7 years and joined Etsy in 2012.
